Scenario:

The Pitch Competition is a 90 second interview in which you position yourself as being “right for the job.” An elevator pitch is a brief, persuasive speech that you use to spark interest in yourself. They should be interesting, memorable, and succinct. They also need to explain what makes you unique.

Your goal is to provide 2-3 key selling points why you are an ideal candidate and then support these qualifications with examples. The end goal of this competition is to set up an interview or a meeting with the hiring manager.

We have guaranteed 10 spots per chapter for anyone who wants to compete. You will be giving a 90 second elevator pitch to the company Enterprise. You may register for this event if you are competing in other events as well! There will be a second round for the finalists!

Some key areas to focus on:

1. 90 second time limit

2. Professional personality

3. Be creative. There is no one way to give an elevator pitch. Think outside the box

4. Use real life examples

5. Think of what sets you apart

6. Remember the end goal is to set up an interview or a meeting

7. Leave with the listener wanting to interview you
