Tickets can be found at All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society.

AMA welcomed new members last week at BOB, Open House, and New Member Dinner. New and returning members gathered in Woodland Theater last Thursday for pizza and an information session about the organization. Then on Friday members got together for a delicious spaghetti meal and a friendly game of Jeopardy.

AMA has several exciting events planned for the upcoming weeks including our first general meeting, company tours, and conferences. This week we will have our first of many general meetings with a resume workshop given by Business Communications Senior Lecturer, Cindy Hofacker. AMA will travel to Chicago on October 6 to tour three companies in before they travel to Aurora University on October 7 for their Regional Conference. Members have the opportunity to participate in personal branding, sales, and marketing strategy competitions while at the conference. The following week, on October 13, members will be travelling to UW-Whitewater to compete in their regional conference.

AMA is always welcoming new members. Come to Centennial 2614 on Thursdays at 6:00 PM to check out a general meeting with professional speakers and workshops. Contact President Jake Pederson at or visit for more information or questions about the organization.
